India has the second highest number of diabetics in the world, at about 65 million, after China, and this figure is likely to reach 80 million by 2030. Diabetes is a serious global health challenge – with devastating effects on diabetic individuals.
There is every increasing demand for quality treatment, and there is an acute need for training and education of health professionals. We understand that doctors today are continuously evaluating resources and opportunities to update their knowledge about diabetes. Time remains a major constraint, with doctors having to balance their day to day clinical responsibilities with rigors and demands of a full time course. It is imperative that the proposed course is designed around the schedule of the doctor, is flexible – without compromising on the course quality.
We are delighted to present a Six Months Certification Course in Diabetes, conducted by BMJ & Fortis C-DOC and endorsed by the Royal College of Physicians. This diabetes course will meet the challenges faced by physicians, help them improve their knowledge of diabetes, its diagnosis and management. The course is delivered online, with a structured intermittent contact programme and the final assessment.
Our two hands on training sessions allow you to interact with our faculty members, giving you insights, knowledge and information far beyond than any other online course. Every hands on training session is unique and the discussions are enriched by the participation of your fellow colleagues in the course. There are plenty of opportunities for discussion, peer sharing, and learning from the experiences of the faculty members.
Three successive batches of the program have been launched till date, with fantastic feedback from participants. It is heartening to see that participants have enrolled from all neighboring countries and Middle East, truly making this course representative for the South Asian region.
We are proud to offer this certification course, particularly since it has been prepared with profile of Indian patients of diabetes in mind; reviewed and quality controlled by top experts from UK. This carefully prepared curriculum. I am sure this would prepare Indian physicians to manage diabetes confidently.
